WHO WE ARE

The Support Office For Research & Development Projects (GAPID) is a structure responsible for promoting a policy of preparation, submission and monitoring of research projects and projects of an institutional nature, as provided for in article 31. of the Regulation of the Organic Structure of Universidade Aberta.

 

WHAT WE DO

GAPID is responsible for:

  1. Analysis of the existence of possible new sources of funding and their relevance and feasibility in view of the University’s Mission;
  2. The collection and systematization of information on national and international programmes, particularly those of the European Union, to support Research, Development and Innovation activities;
  3. Support in the preparation of applications for co-financed projects, namely in their administrative and financial components;
  4. Support in the preparation of project budgets, as well as their validation;
  5. Support and monitoring in the technical and financial execution of projects throughout their entire life cycle;
  6. Making information available to teachers, researchers and other collaborators on how they should proceed in aspects with administrative and financial implications (acquisition of goods and services, etc.);
  7. Preparation of projects’ financial reports;
  8. Communication with the funding organizations/institutions, providing the requested documentation for evidence of the procedures that take place within the scope of the projects.

APPLICATIONS AND PROJECTS

 

The procedures relating to applications and projects must be oriented in accordance with Decree No. 207/R/2024. This information is available in the private area of ​​the UAb portal: QMS (Quality Management System), Procedures tab, in the Internal Quality Assurance System (SIGQ_UAb) documentation relating to PSQ 20 – Research and Development. Documents with answers to Frequently Asked Questions and useful information for applications are also available in the same tab. All the documents are in Portuguese.
