‘Assessing and Promoting Environmental Culture in Higher Education’ (APECHE) is a research project that intends to answer to questions as: what are the levels of environmental literacy in higher education students, and how do they evolve?; what are the variables that most influence the environmental literacy levels of higher education students?; and what approach should be taken to promote environmental culture in HEIs and improve students’ environmental literacy?
To answer these questions, besides environmental literacy and curricular data, our research project proposes to characterize greening of campi, environmental education activities/projects and environmental culture.
