Declarations, Certificates, Diplomas, and Graduation Letters

Universidade Aberta makes available, free of charge and without the need for a request, the student card and the enrolment/registration certificate for the semester of the current academic year.

From 2020-21 academic year, students will have access to documents directly on the Academic Portal:  in the menu “Atividades Letivas”, select “Requisitar Documentos”, followed by “Consultar”, in the context menu.

Specific declarations must be requested using the form below and are subject to a fee, according to the price list in force (check Fees and Payments):

  • Specific Access or Over 23 Years Old examinations – Declaration proving access to the Universidade Aberta with indication of the classification obtained;
  • Academic results obtained in the previous year – Declaration usually requested for obtaining the worker-student status in employer  entity and/or redeeming PPE (an Education Savings Scheme). It includes the Course Units in which the student is enrolled and those in which he/she was approved, not specifying the classifications obtained;
  • Course unit certificate – Document listing the Course Units requested by the student, their classification and ECTS;  it must be requested only after publication of the results at the Academic Portal;
  • Diploma – Official documents issued when students obtain their degree (bachelor, master, or doctorate); Diplomas include: i) the Course Units achieved (if the students has enrolled in other Course Units they will be withdrawn), and ii) students’ full name, identification document type and number, degree designation, completion date, and final grade obtained;
  • Graduation Letter (for Bachelors and Masters degrees) and Doctoral Letter (for PhDs) – Optional documents that include the students’ full name, identification document type and number, degree designation, completion date, and final classification obtained; issuance time of these documents is approximately 3 months.

  • The issuance of any document implies that the student’s current account is settled.
  • ATM references are issued from the Academica Portal – Treasury.
  • The requested documents are sent by post after payment.
