Virtual Mobility
Universidade Aberta has always promoted student mobility; traditionally in face-to-face format and, since 2011, virtual format. From this date on, Universidade Aberta has carried out different virtual mobility projects with partners in Europe and Latin America.
AULP Mobility
The Mobility Program of the Portuguese-speaking Universities Association (AULP) is the first academic mobility program that exclusively covers the exchange of students between institutions in Portuguese-speaking countries: Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Macau, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe and East Timor.
Almeida Garrett Mobility
The Almeida Garrett Mobility Program is meant to encourage national cooperation between the High Learning Institutions members of the Portuguese Universities Council of Rectors (CRUP), offering students the possibility of completing a period of studies at a national host university, with full academic recognition.

Universities Portugal is the brand that unites the most prestigious Portuguese public Universities, from the north to the south of the country, which aims to boost Portugal in the international market, presenting the country as a competitive destination to start or continue higher studies.
Recognition of Foreign Degrees and Diplomas
In Portugal the recognition of academic degrees and higher education diplomas, awarded by foreign higher education institutions, is regulated by Decree-Law no. 66/2018, of 16 August and Ordinance No. 33/2019, of 25 January.
